This note explains the information Open Potential currently collects while the service is being tested.

Who is responsible

Open Potential is a trading name of Dean Martin, a sole trader established in England. Dean Martin trading as Open Potential is responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

Early-access registrations

Open Potential stores the name and email address you provide, plus any optional age range or learning goals you choose to share. This is used to review testing applications, contact applicants and create an account when an invitation is accepted.

Public feedback

Feedback messages, optional contact details, category and rating are stored so the Open Potential administrator can review and improve the service.

Children’s information

Do not submit medical reports or detailed information about a child through public forms. Learner profiles are created only inside a protected parent account. Learning personalisation is optional and controlled by the parent.

AI assistance

Open Potential sends only the information required for a lesson request or explanation. Private free-text Learning Passport notes are excluded from AI requests. Open Potential does not retain microphone recordings.

Your choices

You may ask for an early-access registration or feedback entry to be corrected or removed. Use the feedback form, include your registration email and select “Something else”.
